@lavernecox : I wonder what dreams I could have dreamed for myself if there were women like @kingamiyahscott on my television when I was growing up. When I started shooting @oitnb 6 years ago there were not trans actors who were series regulars on broadcast television. With her role on @staronfox Amiyah became the first. I am so inspired by Amiyah and all the brilliant young trans talent on television right now and the talent to come. There are more than enough qualified trans actors available to cast us in both trans and nontrans roles. Exhibit A. #TransIsBeautiful
