@lavernecox : #womancrushwedensday to all those trans women out there owning who you are, claiming your right to exist in public space, in the light, following your dreams. To all of you who are afraid and not sure where your next meal is coming from, not sure where you will sleep tonight, who feel that no one loves you or could love you, you are lovable. You are worthy. Yes I am dancing in a swimsuit to my song in my living room here. But dancing is how I connect to my body and a sense of freedom within myself and also to my imagination. I have consistently had to first imagine a world where there was a place for me and I have had to co-create that world with a power greater than myself. When I think about all the trans folks acting on television right now and next month when @poseonfx premieres I think about the world I have imagined where diverse trans folks would be represented on television. We have a long way to go but I want to celebrate all the trans folks out there dreaming the dream, realizing that dream, not quite there yet and fighting the fights for our survival. #TransIsBeautiful #BeatForTheGods
