@lavernecox : #FBF my 2018 magazine covers. So grateful to all the editors, photographers, writers, stylists makeup artists, hair stylists and my team for making these moments happen. Thank you all. I still get excited when I see black women on the covers of magazines. It still makes me feel seen, beautiful and inspired. I still get excited when I see trans folks on the covers of magazines. It makes me feel hopeful. I think about all the trans kids out there who may now have a sense of possibility because of this representation. Representation saves lives. .................. Sharing the cover of @Variety with the truly great artists @therealchazbono and @therealalexandrabillings was a great honor. The round table accompanying that cover story I am truly proud to have been a part of. For @selfmagazine I wanted to take a risk to be more vulnerable and intimate in the printed and on camera interviews. I was so scared. But when the issue came out and so many people connected to parts of my story I have never shared before, it was truly healing. Covering @cosmopolitansa was just beyond. I still can't believe that historic moment happened. Thank you South Africa. My 9 year old self is truly in awe of this abundance. I try to put love out into the world. I am trying to choose love not fear every moment of every day. I an doing this imperfectly. I am so grateful for the love you all consistently give back to me. Thank you! I love you! #TransIsBeautiful
