@lavernecox : It's pride month, an historic one. As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, (an act of resistence against state sanctioned police violence against the LGBTQ+ community in 1969), another black trans woman has been found murdered. Trans folks are simultaneously more visible than we have ever been before and the rates of violence against us are not decreasing. We must be able to hold both these realities at the same time. Both things are true. Chynal Lindsey will not be celebrating #pride with us this year. Once again we find ourselves enraged, afraid for our own safety and deeply sad at the passing of another of our sisters. RIP #ChynalLindsey ...
