The last few weeks have been heaven. Traveling through England with my family, going to places I’ve only read about in books or seen in films. From an inn where Queen Elizabeth the 1st stayed in Rye to the Royal Crescent and the Assembly Rooms in Bath, Amberley Castle and the village of Lacock where parts of Harry Potter and Downton Abbey were filmed, I’ve had enough tea and scones to make any ordinary person sick, but hey! I’m a pregnant person, so it doesn’t count right?😉🤫 We stayed in a gorgeous 15th century coaching house in Lacock where we couldn’t go through any doorway without crouching down! You can see my 6’4 husband attempting to go through the bathroom door to help our 4 year old wash her hands and it’s pretty hilarious! We both smacked our heads on the door frames multiple times during our stay, but that’s part of what made this trip so fun and exciting! It’s really hard to choose which pics I share with you all, I’ll have to post some more in the next few days when I have more time to go through them and I’ll be posting some different ones on my daughter @evergaboanderson’s page as well so check that out too. These are dark days in American history. Tourists from abroad are being warned about travel to our country because of the escalation in gun violence. Parents are being jailed with no warning leaving children abandoned. This administration will go down in infamy for all future generations. My own family came here and stayed illegally in the 80’s. My mother was a successful, Russian movie star at the top of her game and my father was a practicing doctor. They gave it all up to exist hand to mouth in America so their child could live in freedom and have opportunities that didn’t exist in Russia. They did it for me to have a better life. I imagine any parent would do the same for their children. These raids are inhumane. This is the very definition of torture. Of cruel and unusual punishment. That this is happening right now, in this day and age is a stain on our country. Knocked up again.🤫 After I found out I was pregnant 13 weeks ago, I had a mixture of feelings ranging between complete joy and utter terror. Because of my age and losing the last pregnancy I didn’t want to get attached to this potential baby too quickly. That was obviously not fun and the last few months have been my family and I living on pins and needles waiting for a slew of different test results to come in and spending most of our time in doctors offices. Thank goodness we’re in the clear AND we found out that we’ve been blessed with another girl!😆😂🥰 Anyway, wish me and my baby luck! It’s about time and finally people are being educated to the problems these professionals face thanks to the efforts of The Models Alliance and people like @saraziff who are making important changes through their #respectprogram. This is such a low point in our country’s history. That a POTUS could make such vile and racist comments about anyone at all on a public forum defies all belief and should be unacceptable, but about other AMERICANS? It’s just unreal. Some born in the USA; while others are naturalized American citizens. Congresswomen. It’s never in history been seen that a POTUS goes so low as to pick fights with people that don’t agree with him, bully people, name call and cast racial slurs that you would hear in some drunken brawl at a bar: “go back to where you came from”. Our President should represent the BEST of America. The most noble and good. To be above petty infighting and insult slinging. What example does this give to our youth? That it’s ok to judge someone based on there race or their country of origin. It’s ok to treat them with disrespect because they are “foreigners”. I mean our president is doing it. It’s the opposite of what this country is built on and has always represented. There is not one white person living in this country who’s family is originally from here. Every single one came from abroad. Every single one.

Missouri is the latest state to jump on the “6 week abortion ban”. They join Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Iowa and many more. Though most women have no clue they are even pregnant at six weeks, these states are signing “Heartbeat Bills” that they would like to see made into law. What’s this all about? At 6 weeks, doctors can detect a “rhythm” that looks like a heart beat, but science has proven that it’s not. An embryo doesn’t have a heart at 6 weeks, it is a 3-4 millimeter group of cells with NO DEVELOPED ORGANS. Thanks to modern day ultrasound technology, doctors can catch an electrical activity-a rhythmic pulsing-of cells that are just starting to group themselves together in ways that might eventually grow into a heart. But there is no “beating heart” and no guarantee that one will develop. Miscarriages up to the 8th week of pregnancy are usually indistinguishable from a heavy period. This is the reality. Here’s another reality. These bills are being signed with NO EXCEPTIONS for RAPE, INCEST or SEXUAL TRAFFICKING. In Iowa, there’s an 11 year old child who has become pregnant after being repeatedly raped by a 26 year old man. She is one of the “women” who will be penalized by these bills for being a victim of assault. Another fact: Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey actually signed a “Heartbeat Bill” on Wednesday. Yesterday. Ironically, Alabama and many of the other states trying to get these bills passed have the HIGHEST INFANT MORTALITY RATES IN THE COUNTRY. These state’s governments show the least concern for maternal and infant health in general and are ready to put more women’s lives at an even greater risk. I want to call out to the men in this country. You have to support us and stand in solidarity with us on these issues. We can’t be the only ones fighting for these rights. Because in the end, it takes the two of us for one of us to be pregnant. You need to speak out on social media. You need to call your state governors and representatives and add your voices to ours

I don’t like to get political and I try to only do it if a really have to and this is one of those times. If someone doesn’t want to continue reading, you have been warned. Our rights as women to obtain safe abortions by experienced doctors are again at stake. Last Tuesday, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed a draconian bill into law that outlaws all abortions after six weeks — before most women even realize they’re pregnant — including in cases of RAPE OR INCEST. This makes Georgia the sixth state to pass such a restrictive six-week abortion ban, joining Ohio, Mississippi, Kentucky, Iowa, and North Dakota. These laws haven’t been passed yet, but lawmakers in these states are trying. Abortion is hard enough for women on an emotional level without having to go through it in potentially unsafe and unsanitary conditions. I myself went through an emergency abortion 2 years ago. I was 4 1/2 months pregnant and shooting on location in Eastern Europe. I went into pre term labor and told that I had to be awake for the whole procedure. It was one of the most horrific experiences I have ever gone through. I still have nightmares about it. I was alone and helpless. When I think about the fact that women might have to face abortions in even worse conditions than I did because of new laws, my stomach turns. I spiraled into one of the worst depressions of my life and had to work extremely hard to find my way out. I took time off of my career. I isolated myself for months and had to keep a strong face for my two amazing kids. I started gardening, eating healthier and going to the gym everyday because I didn’t want to jump into taking anti depressants unless I had tried every other alternative. Thank God I was able to find my way out of that personal hell without turning to medication, but the memory of what I went through and what I lost will be with me till the day I die. Today, May 9 is WW2 Victory Day and I would like to honor my grandmother Tatiana Ivanovna, may she Rest In Peace, who at 16 years of age, joined the army as a nurse and made it all the way to Berlin. She saved lives and barely escaped with her own, hiding under dead bodies at times to survive. This little girl went through such a hard life seeing death every day. She then came back and started her life all over from nothing, raising two kids as a single parent. I will always remember how amazing she was. I was lucky enough to be with her in the months before she passed, taking her for walks in her wheelchair everyday and talking with her about her life. Those moments are so precious to me. It’s always stressful on opening weekend and @hellboymovie is no different. You work super hard to make something fun and entertaining and have to absorb the negative reviews by movie critics, but hey! THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY.😎 All I’m gonna say before going to bed is this: All my raddest films have been slammed by critics. It’s fucking hilarious. Dazed and Confused? Seriously? Classic movie. The Fifth Element! You would have thought that was the worst movie ever made if you read the reviews in like ‘98😂. Zoolander? Slammed. Joan of Arc? Disaster. Resident Evil? Let’s not even go there. Anyway, every one of those films is now a cult classic. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. And this will be too. Mark my words. Why? 1. Because of the amazing actors. David Harbour. Ian Mcshane. Daniel Dae Kim. Sasha Lane. They are all so damn wonderful and talented, the movie is worth seeing just because they’re in it, especially one that’s so much fun to experience as this is. 2. @mikemignola who created the #Hellboy comics helped write the script and was on set every single day to make this film as close to his vision as possible. 3. It was directed by one of the greats. #NeilMarshall who brought us “The Descent”. One of the greatest horror movies ever. Trust me, you’re gonna have a blast watching the new @hellboymovie. You know what’s one of the best things about my job? Traveling to insanely amazing places that I would probably never go to and meeting wonderful, new people! I made a movie in China last year that’s coming out this summer over there and met Laney @coaammmaa, she’s a Chinese photographer who is such a lovely human and Laney came to LA with her bf @jellylinyun who’s a gorgeous, young Chinese actress and the girls came to my home for lunch and met my kids and experienced a little bit of Los Angeles family style! It’s so incredible knowing I have friends from far away places that will visit and also open their own homes to me when I go to their countries so I can feel like a local too! In the last pic, my daughter Ever made a beautiful card for them and wrote it in Chinese! She also learned to say a few Chinese phrases to make them feel more welcome. So proud of my baby.😆🥳#ladiary

Everyone needs to read this post my young friend @avahawkmcdean made today. She is one of the most beautiful, sweet, thought provoking people I know and this really touched me. It represents how difficult our image of ourselves can be and how misplaced because of a cookie cutter representation that we are exposed to everyday and brain washed into believing is desirable. Mothers need to show this to their daughters, so they can see how gorgeous women are beating themselves up because they don’t fit a certain “standard” of beauty. #Repost @avahawkmcdean ・・・ Learning to love yourself is a very hard thing to do. Especially when you have influences like Instagram or magazines telling you what makes someone beautiful or what is socially acceptable for being beautiful. I may not have a little slope nose and big lips but I love my nose and lips and it feel good to say that after years of editing photos to try and meet that impossible standard. And being told “you aren’t the model right you must be the hairdresser”, that I wasn’t sexy enough or I was way to exotic. I use to let that word exotic make me feel bad and would hear it as an insult but for anyone else out there that feels the same way, I now realize that it is the best compliment anyone can give you because you don’t look like a fucking Instagram fem bot and exotic IS sexy. And no, you don’t look like shit without makeup on, but it sucks that the majority of us feels this way because that’s what was told to us. We would not have this idea that makeup makes u prettier or wearing this brand makes us liked and super cool if we didn’t feed that to each other. We have blame as well. So we need to own our individuality. And of course the women with those idealized features are beautiful but we need to stop feeding into the idea that it is okay to set any standard of beauty that is physically impossible to achieve and make every woman feel equally beautiful, as they should. So heartbreaking to find that Karl Lagerfeld left us today. I am so lucky to have worked with him so many times in my career. He hired me for Chanel when I was only 19 and we continued our love affair for over 20 years. Karl was such a lovely and loving person. Behind the fan and glamour was a kind, incredibly intelligent and hilarious human who was so sweet with my kids. When my eldest was only 5, she came to one of our shoots and tried to steal a “Karl Lagerfeld Doll” that was displayed because she had been playing with it while we worked. Well Karl laughed, knelt down and offered it to her to take home and keep. She was so happy and that summer couldn’t be separated from it. I remember she loved to wash it in the sink because it was made of plastic. Then years later, he photographed me and both my girls a year after our second was born. Those portraits are such a treasure to me and my family and I’m so happy that my girls will always remember having such a sweet, personal experience with one of our industries most iconic and inspiring individuals. You will be missed Karl. Rest In Peace.⭐️🖤

Happy Valentine’s Day to the most incredible man in the world! When I think about how long we’ve known each other and all the incredible adventures we’ve been on together, I’m just totally overwhelmed by how much I love you. You’ve loved me non stop, through my best times and my worst. You’ve been by my side without fail as a lover and a husband. You stepped effortlessly and passionately into the exhaustion of having two amazing children. I know that whatever you’re doing and wherever you are, you can’t wait to get home to us. Our babies have been raised with so much love and tireless attention because of you. You were there for middle of the night diaper changes. You always have a smile for us no matter what you’re doing or how tired you are (and in a few of these pics, I can see that you hadn’t slept after one of the babies gave us hell the night before😂). You have gone above and beyond what I ever imagined love could be. Or offer. And when I think I can’t love you anymore, I wake up the next morning and realize that I do. Another amazing workout with the awesome @theetiffmarie this morning! See you all tomorrow at 9am LA time! I changed my lifestyle in January of last year. I started gardening. Growing my own vegetables made me more aware of how I was treating my body and I also needed to prepare for a new action movie, so I started working out 5 days a week. The incredible changes I started seeing in myself became so obvious to me a few weeks into my new program. And not just to me, but to people around me! First my family commented on how much more pleasant I was in the morning😂. Then people would compliment my skin, saying I was “glowing”. I hadn’t had those remarks since I was pregnant, so I knew that what I was doing was working. Most importantly, as someone who is battled depression for most of my life, I noticed how much energy I had and how great my moods were. I stopped getting overwhelmed as easily. I felt like I could tackle anything the day had in store and I looked forward to new challenges. After a year of these positive benefits, I wanted to share my experience with you all, because I truly believe that to live life to your fullest, you need to be active. So I hope you guys join me in my workouts. I hope knowing that I’m doing this on weekdays motivates you and you feel like you have a “Gym Buddy” who is doing it too! So THIS here little girl is one of two very important reasons why I work out 5 days a week. The other reason is my 11 year old. A year ago I started this weekly workout program and I couldn’t believe how amazing I started feeling after a few weeks of doing it consistently. I had incredible energy all day long which made me so much more fun as a parent. I suddenly became a “morning person” which I’d NEVER been in my life and rather than parking on the couch to binge watch shows, I want to run around with my kids, garden, cook and just stay more active all around. I’ve battled depression and feelings of low confidence all through out my childhood and adult life and this past year was the FIRST TIME I felt like my emotions weren’t overwhelming me and I feel in control of my moods. It’s been such a game changer for me and I hope I can inspire some of you to take a leap and get active as well. That’s why I’ve started doing my workouts live, because this is one of the single most important choices and changes I’ve ever made and now I know how important it is for all humans to move and be active every single day to feel good about themselves. Hey everyone! So I’m back after a nice social media free 2 weeks after the New Year. Being home again is so wonderful, taking the kids to school and seeing my garden again. My friend, U.S. Army Ranger, Captain Natalie Mallue, who took me through military training in my new film #monsterhuntermovie came to visit and we’ve had such a blast together. We’ve been going to the gym, cooking, playing games and even managed to go to #theescapehotel in Hollywood with our friends and family, where we got out of the WW2 room with 5 minutes to spare! Then some sightseeing at the #beverlyhillshotel and lunch at my favorite noodle spot #tsujitaannex.😆

I hope you are all having the most wonderful holiday! I am having the best time. We built a snowman, he was pretty basic, but hey! I was proud of him. Then the kids destroyed him.😂 That seemed to be their favorite part for some reason.🤪We’ve been skiing and cooking, watching cartoons and trying to play games, but everyone is so exhausted by 7pm that we don’t get past reading the set up and rules before crawling off to bed. Well that’s a picture wrap on #monsterhuntermovie! Get ready for it cause this is a long post.😉 What an unforgettable experience this has been, meeting some amazing humans, traveling to some of the most unearthly locations. Everyone worked so hard, this was definitely one of the most challenging films I’ve ever made which says a lot😂, but we all got through it as a team and some of the relationships I’ve made here will hopefully last a lifetime. Well this morning I woke up and guess what happened? I turned 43😣. Though getting older isn’t my idea of fun, I gotta say, I’m happier today than I’ve ever been in my entire life. I have the most amazing family. My husband adores me and I love him more than anything. My kids want nothing more than to be around me and we laugh together all the time. They are all healthy. My friends are all good, kind, supportive people. Both my parents are alive and I love them so much. My career takes me on the wildest adventures I could never have dreamed of experiencing and my body has never been healthier and more balanced which keeps my energy high and my spirit positive. I couldn’t be more grateful for these wonderful gifts and I’m so aware that I’m living the #bestyearsofmylife. What a gorgeous and unforgettable evening in Paris at the #grandpalais for the @fencing_fie gala! So amazing see dear friends like @chrissbrenner and also @nabilharlow, who so graciously came by after a long trans atlantic flight to do my hair for the event! Thanks so much Nabil for working your magic! I did my own make up which was fun because it takes me all of 15 minutes and then I don’t end up wearing too much of it. Special thanks to @veesback, my Italian sister and @miumiu for dressing me and reminding me what it feels like to be a girl again! After shooting @monsterhuntermovie for the last 3 months, being covered in dirt and blood and keeping such relentless hours, it’s easy to forget that I have a feminine, glamorous side as well!💄👠💋💅🏼 Thank you @fencing_fie for putting on such an amazing event, I had the privilege of meeting such amazing people like @katholmes46, a champion Olympic female fencer who also studies chemistry and medicine when she’s not training 8 hours a day! Are you kidding me? These faces? They’re killing me. Sometimes I stop everything I’m doing and just savor the present moment. Being a parent is challenging. I have the best intentions. But between sleepless nights and work, between worries and doubts, my patience gets frayed. I get weighed down by “working mom” guilt and before I know it, I’m the “serious” parent all the time. At times like these I try to become hyper aware of the present. Of understanding that no matter how much we try to “do the right thing”, most of the time the right thing is just being silly and making sure everyone has a great big laugh. When my kids get asked later in life what kind of mom they had, I truly do want them to say “a fun mom”. So it’s my goal to have at least one big laugh with my kids every single day. I want to pay respect to the family of Jemel Roberson, who should be a national hero today, but is being buried instead. A father to Tristan, with another baby on the way, he was devoted to his family. On November 11 a gunman started shooting in Manny’s bar and Jemel, a security guard who wanted to become a police officer, selflessly and bravely stopped the shooter and pinned him to the ground. When police arrived, one of the officers shot and killed Jemel, assuming he was the gunman. Witnesses say Jemel wasn’t given a chance to put down his weapon before he was shot. Take a moment to hashtag #jemelroberson And send respect to his family on this sad day that they are putting him in the ground. Here are some words from @leemerrittesq about this extraordinary man: #jemelroberson is a National Hero. We can’t reiterate that enough. He died working extra shifts to provide for Tristan and the baby on the way. He died saving lives. He was a provider and protector. South side Chicago is a difficult place to be raised in and stay out of trouble. Jemel excelled in this community as a musician and security professional. He never had a single blemish on his record. After single handed lay preventing a mass shooting, police arrived, mistook him for a bad guy and shot him to death. Today has been so difficult for this family and community. Going into Monday like...😘 It’s been a tough shoot on #monsterhuntermovie, gorgeous and brutal locations, injuries. Now we’ve picture wrapped some incredible artists and people I call friends @meagangood @troubleman31 @diego @iammcjin @josh_helman_official, you guys are so incredible and we miss you all so much. It’s hard to get back in the game and start a new chapter of this movie without you. But I tell you, having my family here with me makes everything perfect. Even when I come home exhausted and in pain, putting a smile on these faces is what I live for. So grateful that my mom came to visit and Paul’s mom. 3 generations of Jovovich-Anderson’s in the house!😆It’s hard to be a busy, working mom. It’s not easy finding a balance. It’s amazing to see your little one grow and express herself daily. A few weeks ago she cut her hair off, then she wanted to be an army Ranger, a few days later she dyed her hair like my little pony. Proposition 10 will give communities in Los Angeles a choice to have rent control and help stop landlords from hiking rents up to 40% at times and kicking whole families into the street. As far as facts, 47% of all those newly homeless in LA in 2017, were due to being unable to afford rent. The corporations against Prop 10 keep saying it will raise rents and stop development but that is all false. Right now so many people in South LA, Boyle Heights and Lincoln Heights just to name a few have been kicked out this way. The people living there being mostly immigrant, low wage earning families, most of them are now living in their cars while still working. So that's why I support Prop 10 a 100%. The rents are too damn high! We can do something about it and support our minority’s! I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend! Here’s some pics from our incredible trip to almost the very southernmost tip of Africa called Point Cape and Boulder Beach, home of African penguins! We went with the family and two new, incredible friends we made through this amazing experience. They are two Ranger qualified soldiers from the US army, husband and wife team Natalie @eilatan_eullam and Ed Mallue @skip2mallue. Natalie is one of just 17 women to have successfully graduated Ranger School and I am lucky enough to have been able to train with her and interview her for hours to prepare for my character in #monsterhuntermovie. I will post some of our training pics later this week. That’s them talking to Paul with the gorgeous view from the top of Cape Point below them. Professor Ford deserves a FAIR trial. Not just “get on with it”. If Brett Kavanaugh is innocent, there should be no problem. Yes, Brett Kavanaugh was young when the alleged rape of Professor Ford occurred, but according to multiple news outlets including aclu.com, he tried to stop a 17 year old immigrant from having an abortion, essentially making a minor responsible for her decision for the rest of her life. He thought this was acceptable. He thought a mistake she made as a teenager should shadow her for a lifetime. This is an extreme decision. In my opinion as a strong woman, as a friend to strong women and a mother to strong, young women, I don’t believe extremists should have any place in the Supreme Court. #stopkavanaugh

Fist pump to everyone who spoke out and postponed the vote on conservative Brett Kavanaugh- who stands accused of sexual assault- from becoming Supreme Court Justice! I don’t get political too often, so if you don’t like it, please feel free to stop reading. But I do strongly believe that if Brett Kavanaugh gets elected to the Supreme Court many of us will suffer. Especially women. We are at a point in history that has become so important. It’s mind blowing that after so many years women have fought to have respect and equality in this country, we could potentially be moving backward. Yet this is what’s happening today. I believe there’s a place for all of us in America. Both liberals and conservatives made this country what it is today. But the balance of power is going too far to the extreme right lately and I feel, without this precious balance, women’s rights will be picked away at, slowly and inexorably. We cannot stand by and allow extreme conservatives like Brett Kavanaugh get into positions of power where they can judge us. Good news is, we can make a difference and it doesn’t cost a penny. What an epic and unforgettable experience I had at #fortirwin Army Base getting to know the soldiers and getting a chance to experience firsthand the incredible training they go through. Fort Irwin is a highly elite training facility. The last stop for soldiers to experience the worst possible combat based scenarios to complete their training. Fort Irwin personnel take pride in the fact that many veterans come back and say they never faced anything abroad as difficult as what they went through right here. Soldiers are pushed to their limits by the 11th ACR aka the Black Horse Regiment, who are the best of the best here on base and represent “the enemy” in these training sessions. The soldiers on rotation go for weeks on end out in “The Box”; thousands of square miles of desert landscape where they survive with hardly any sleep, getting attacked day and night by members of Black Horse. I had the privilege of running “stacks” (stacks is a type of battle formation) with the soldiers from Easy Troop, 2/11, 2nd Squadron, 11ACR. (That’s the pic of me and the group of soldiers in front of the house we “cleared” amid gunfire). What an honor to have experienced that with you guys! I want to send a big shout out to them: @dar_cox @brettb_21 @Tarcusmurner @J_boogie96 @jusaguyfromstl @artsena_r6 @yo_its_mikey_v @elliott_hamilton @ag_rivs Then meeting some of the incredible women in uniform. What a true honor and privilege to be here in #fortirwin meeting the incredible men and women in uniform who have committed their lives to serve our country! The first pic is with the gorgeous and fabulous female soldiers, after hours at the local Sam Adams bar, as they take it easy after a truly hard days work. Then going back in time through my day, I got a chance to explore the historical tank and cannon outdoor exhibit. Before that, I had the huge honor and real pleasure of sitting down in the home of Captain Jeff Caslen and his gorgeous family. It was amazing to meet his father Lieutenant General Caslen and his wife, married for 43 years (only 3 of which she thought he would stay in the army😂). The stories this beautiful family had to offer me are priceless and I will treasure this experience my whole life. And finally, on my arrival to base, I was able to meet the incredible Brigadier General Broadwater, who really explained how Fort Irwin works and the really insanely huge scope of this operation. I can’t tell you how much fun I’m having, meeting everyone and collecting information for my new film #monsterhunter which I start shooting in October. Yes, from zombies to monsters I know. Wanted to take a break from fashion and post some gardening pics!!😝 I’m so excited because I picked my first watermelon from the garden! I haven’t tasted it yet, so who knows, but it’s still amazing! And I swear the zucchini are growing so fast I can hardly pick them before they become monsters. Literally zucchini pasta for days with this big guy!😂 I’ve also picked another winter squash, some onions and loads of cucumbers! I’ve also got so many tomato plants growing as well (like 20 plants, because I hate to kill them) and of course the infamous Tomato Horn Worm makes his appearance anywhere there are healthy plants to eat. This one got really big and managed to eat one of my baby tomatoes before we caught him and threw him up our mountain in back of the house. They’re pretty gross as caterpillars, but these worms turn into magnificent Sphinx moths in the end, so i hate to kill them. #millasgarden #millaskitchen #growingkidsgrowingfood #urbangarden #ladiary 🌽🥕🥦🥒🍓🍉🍅😄

Going into the weekend like... 🥒🍅🥕🌽So excited, I finally picked our first winter squash called “Sweet Mama”! (I planted it because it reminds me of myself😉) It’s a Japanese squash so I’m thinking of making some Tempura for dinner tonight! I make my batter with cake flour and soda water. You gotta mix it real slow to keep it light and airy and I usually fry it in my wok with peanut oil or any other oil that has a high burning point.😊👌🏼Also, the watermelons are doing so great!! I can’t believe how big they are already! These are called “Dixie Queen” and I read that they can grow up to 40lbs, so I’m going to wait a few more weeks and see how much bigger they get before I pick them. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy gardening, today feels like heaven, knowing All I gotta do is some transplanting and watering. Topping up the fertilizer. It’s so calming. What an incredible few days spent in the garden this weekend! From dogs and tortoise chilling together, to an overflow of zucchini, watermelon, potato and tomato plants, it was marvelous! My planting’s have spilled into other parts of the house now, into plastic tubs and fabric bags. My sproutlings from a few months ago grew so beautifully, I didn’t have the heart to choose which ones to plant, so that’s why I have 20 tomato plants (Mama Milla’s Spaghetti Sauce anyone?), 8 zucchini, 3 kinds of Japanese Squash and 6-8 watermelons and cantaloupes!😂 Anyway, though it doesn’t look great, I’m so happy seeing everything grow, I’ve even started some corn seedlings with my youngest, Dashiel, last week and they have already sprouted and are ready for bigger pots! Phew! P.S. never underestimate the importance of fish fertilizer. NEVER.💩#urbangarden #growingkidsgrowingfood #ladiary ❤️❤️❤️

A little bit of heaven. Going to the park with my kids is the most wonderful way to spend time together and see them play, watch the big one take care of the little one. I know some of you don’t like it when i get political, so I’ll apologize beforehand and feel free to stop reading. Saying that, of course I can’t help but think of all the migrant families at our border right now who’s reality is the polar opposite of mine. Though I don’t condone people coming into the US illegally, I know that this country is a dream for most of the world. The promised land where we can make our dreams come true for our children. It’s why my own family defected in the 80’s. To make a better life for me. Their child. I do understand why people would risk everything to come here. It must be so awful where they came from if they would risk so much to get here. If anyone looking at this has the desire and funds to help families at the border, ive posted the organizations I’ve contributed to in my bio. If you don’t have the funds i totally get it and no need to even mention it in your comments. If you don’t agree or believe in this cause I totally get that too, all I ask is please be respectful leaving comments on my page. I would really appreciate it. My love and I had the most incredible dinner last night @rossoblula! Happy Mother’s Day to all you fabulous mom’s out there, including my own gorgeous mama! You deserve it ladies. When I remember what my mom went through to help me become who I am today, I am so proud. To move to a new country where you hardly speak the language, to struggle and work any job she could to pay for my endless classes, acting, piano, ballet, TAP! I mean tap? Really Mom?😂 When I think of all the times she motivated me to be the best I could be, to educate me, to remind me what it is to be a good person, to have empathy and compassion for others, to be the first one at work with a smile on my face and the last one to leave (also with a smile), to never complain, to be strong amidst the endless rejection and criticism this industry piles on performers, to have common sense, to appreciate the people around me and most importantly, to just relax and be a pleasant person. I’ve been LMFAO’ing all day after buying #howtoamerican, written by one of my favorite comedians, Jimmy O. Yang aka @funnyasiandude from the classic show #siliconvalley! From Chapter One he’s a savage, talking about growing up in Hong Kong: “I played the violin, I was super good at math, and I played Ping-Pong competitively.” Ouch.🔥To his dad’s pep talk before a tournament: “Jimmy, even though you are short, even though you are weak, and the other kid is way better than you... you are going to do ok.” I was lol’ing so hard on the plane I started getting annoying looks from people next to me. This is one of the most heart wrenching and horrifying stories I’ve read in a while. This little baby boy, Alfie Evans, has been under life support in British hospital, Alder Hey, for over a year. His brain tissue is damaged and he’s pretty much in a vegetative state. A few days ago, the hospital made the decision to turn his life support off because it is “futile and inhumane”. Well, surprise surprise, his parents don’t agree. But they have no say in the matter! Though Alfie’s parents appealed the hospitals decision, they lost and on the 24th of this month, his ventilator was turned off. Alfie astonished everyone by continuing to breathe unaided, apart from an oxygen tank. He’s a miracle baby. His father even went to visit the Pope in Italy to try and recruit help on keeping his baby alive. The Pope went as far as convincing the Italian government to grant Alfie Italian citizenship so he could be emergency evacuated to a children’s hospital in Italy where they are willing and standing by in readiness to receive him, put him back on life support and try and help him, but for some reason that i don’t understand, Alfie is not allowed to leave. Not the hospital or the country, though they won’t continue to treat him either. This is unbelievable. This seems like such senseless cruelty. Why can’t Alfie be treated in Italy? I’m so confused and horrified, I can hardly type this. My hands are shaking. If they think Alfie should die, that’s their professional opinion and i respect that, but to actually stop his parents from continuing to help their son when they have options and avenues to do so seems extreme. I am a mother of two who would go to the ends of the earth for my children to help them, even it seems all hope is lost. As these parents are. But they are being stopped from doing this. Why? Working on the new movie #paradisehills has been such a blast! Not only because I’m surrounded by such a strong and stellar group of women, but this location is beyond spectacular! About 30 minutes from #barcelona, this was originally built as a private home before the owner passed away and now it sits completely empty.
