So this happened today. Tim Cook, you are a legend. Thank you everyone at @apple for having us out to Apple Park over the last couple of days. What a magical place to call home. Couldn’t be more proud to be a part of the Apple family and to share the damn screen with the brilliant @octaviaspencer in our new show Truth Be Told. Octavia, I love you. My friend wrote a book called To Shake the Sleeping Self and it is officially out today. His name is @jedidiahjenkins and he is one of the greatest humans that I have ever met. He rode his bike from the Oregon coast to the tip of Patagonia and this is the tale of that journey. 1 1/2 years on the road swimming in his thoughts of love and life and everything else that goes along with being on this planet. Words can’t express how proud I am of these two ladies. This morning they were featured on @thetodayshow for their life changing work with @kindcampaign. This is just ahead of them starting their 14th nation wide tour that takes them into classrooms across the country to tackle bullying within school hallways. You ladies have changed the lives of so many. You really have. I have sat through numerous assembly’s and have read letters from teachers, principals, parents and students expressing their love and gratitude for what you wonderful woman have brought into their lives. If you have a child that is being bullied or is the bully or you just don’t know please look up Kind Campaign and submit your child’s school to have an assembly set up free of charge. It really works. Check out their segment on The Today Show in my bio and let me know what you think. If you don’t have a child but know someone who does please let them know about this incredible organization. It’s all free of charge. No hidden agenda here. I am so damn proud to announce that a film I shot last year will be making its world premier at the Toronto International Film Festival aka TIFF. American Woman was directed by the incredible Jake Scott and written by the fearless and tragic writer (Out of the Furnace) Brad Ingelsby. This film takes you on a journey that follows a complicated woman dealing with the disappearance of her young daughter and coming to terms with the possibility of never seeing her again. It’s about family, love and loss and it’s absolutely beautiful. Sienna Miller brings such a heartbreaking and honest performance to this character and to watch it play out in person was an absolute gift. Independent film making is where my heart is. Just raw and honest story telling. Thank you Jake for taking me on this ride with you! You absolutely crushed it. Thank you Brad for this story! I will read every single damn thing that you write. Thank you TIFF for this honor. I love you and all of Canada. See you soon! #TIFF

As an actor, you chase after good material and when I read the first script written by our fearless leader Nichelle Tramble it felt very obvious on what I needed to do. I have a challenge for you. 30 days. The challenge is to try and not use any sort of one use cups. Just don’t do it. No paper coffee cups. No plastic water bottles. Nothing. Carry a cup with you and use that. It’s a lot easier than it sounds. That is if you think that sounds hard. It’s not. The stats are staggering people! I think we can get a lot of people to be aware of the waste they create in a single month. Hear me out, Each year over 500 billion single use coffee cups are used and thrown away around the globe, that single use coffee cup, that you have used for around 15 minutes, will outlast your time on earth (most likely somewhere in a landfill or in the environment), a lot of cups end up in the environment, where they become trash on the side of the road and destroys the look of this beautiful pale blue dot and is simply pointless when we have other options. Do this with me. Carry a cup you love and help clean up this place we call home. Carry a @mybyta or any other reusable cup. Easy easy. Keep track of the amount of trash you kept off of the streets and let us know how you did. Together we can make this a more beautiful world one cup at a time. Oh and I personally challenge @justintimberlake and my girl @badgalriri to do the same.
