@lenadunham : This is the painting I made of the extremely punk scar that my love @kaykasparhauser has sustained because Ehler-Danlos Syndrome is for kool kids!!! Yup, it’s pretty hip to have a group of linked yet mysterious symptoms that cause pain and disability but also make you highly compelling (but seriously, some people I love have this misunderstood/under researched genetic disorder and so do I! My spirit sisters include Kay, @karolynprg & @pchza and I feel lucky to have a gang of tough chix who let me complain about the lack of collagen in my connective tissue.) Could this be you or someone you love? Well, I was actually first diagnosed by a kind and resilient woman I’ve never met IRL who read about my health troubles and had a guess.
