@lisa_wilkinson : For almost a decade at this time of year I was heading to Melbourne for Carols By Candlelight...still one of the greatest thrills I had during my time at Nine. But it did mean being away from Pete and the kids and our crazy big extended family on Christmas Eve, and then crawling into bed at 3AM on Christmas morning (with the kids excitedly tapping me on the head at first light two hours later asking if they could open Santa’s presents yet!😫) but truth is, I loved it. It was always such an honour to be welcomed into, literally, millions of Aussie homes on such a special family night. Now that very special honour goes to @soniakruger and my partner for five of those nine years, @davidcampbell73. Have a great time tomorrow night you two. And merry Christmas.
