@lisa_wilkinson : There is so much about life right now that feels out of our control. But one thing we can definitely control is how we deal with this crisis on a day-to-day, human level. We know our health workers are stretched to breaking point, but this photo illustrates another human cost to those who least deserve it - an exhausted Woolworths employee breaking down in tears after copping abuse from panic-buying shoppers, while another shopper tries to comfort her. Heartbreaking. Times are incredibly tough right now, no question, but let’s all look inward to our better angels during this time and be sure that when we come out the other side of all this, we can be proud of all the small moments when we helped out. We absolutely shone with kindness during the bushfire crisis, so we know that as a nation, we can do this!
