@marthastewart : When baker @kelynmock gathered her friends to build a gingerbread house, she saw this as an opportunity to do something untraditional. 👀 "I wanted to create something that reflected the Southwestern vibes of my hometown in Texas. 🌵 So I thought to myself, why not create an adobe gingerbread house? 🏡 So I sketched the house, cut and baked all the pieces! I also didn’t want to buy a million varieties of candy (hence the no gumdrop factor), which saved on the cost. To create the desert-inspired vegetation like the cacti and yucca plants 🍃, I piped them using royal icing with a variety of piping tips and used brown sugar as the sand.
