📋: in a small bowl, whisk together -> 1/2 cup sour cream + zest and juice of 1 lemon -> mix until throughly combined -> whisk in 2 large eggs
in a medium bowl (or your stand mixer), combine -> 1 cup ap flour + pinch of salt -> add 1 stick unsalted butter (room temperature) -> mix until throughly combined -> add 1 cup sugar + 1/4 tsp baking soda -> mix until ingredients are evenly dispersed -> add sour cream mixture and mix until combined -> pour into parchment-lined, buttered and floured 8-inch or 9-inch round cake pan -> place in a 350 degree oven and bake until edges a slightly golden and cake tester comes out with just a few crumbs, 25-30 minutes -> cool in pan for a few minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely -> top with your favorite cream cheese frosting and berries -> best eaten day of
