@camillabelle : A year ago today, I had to say a final goodbye to my baby girl. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I miss her every single day. Sure, time heals and all that, but the wound is always there and it’s not leaving. Now though, instead of daily violent sobs, that moment arrives where I think of her, the tears fall...but then...a smile crosses my face knowing how lucky I am to have had her in my life. Loss is a tricky thing. It’s a reminder to live in the moment, embrace the ones (animals and humans alike) you love, and to constantly feel grateful...even through the loss. Thank you Kiki for being such a strong girl, and for battling through illness, pain, and old age to be by my side. I’ll never, ever, forget you.
