@melissajoanhart : Weekdays are lonely for me but also allow me to spend some good time (today was hiking) with myself which is something I’m not always good at doing. Being the oldest of eight kids I’ve always had someone along for whatever ride I’m going on. Whether it’s working out or going to the movies or meal or just sit and talk. Now I find myself alone during the weekdays while my family is up north and I’m doing my show #NoGoodNick. i’m trying to find better ways to spend time by myself and fit in my workouts and learn how to cook, read a book and binge watch TV shows I have been on my list for a long time, visit with old friends and make new ones but really it’s just masking the mom guilt I feel not being there for my little ones on a daily basis. The silver lining is that I’m showing my children that work ethic should be a priority in life but the real benefit is that when I leave Hollywood for the weekends or when the show goes on hiatus, I am 100% full time mom. So full time work, and full time mom is rewarding in ways but it doesn’t always feel like the right thing to do. What creates parent guilt in your life?
