@melissajoanhart : I remember this day 33 years ago like it was just a few weeks ago. I was in 4th grade and we were sent home from school after watching the launch. It was a really big deal, bigger than most launches because a civilian teacher would ride with the astronauts for the first time. They all perished on take off in a scene that would play over and over again on tv for several weeks and in head forever! A few weeks later we would plant a cherry tree in their honor in front of our school. #Repost @stationcdrkelly ・・・ ‪Remembering the crew of Space Shuttle #Challenger who perished 33 years ago today.
