@darrencriss : So grateful to @dolcegabbana for including me at their table at the #MetGala. This Alta Sartoria jacket is a hand stitched, sequined replica of a mosaic inside the Duomo di Monreale in Palermo- a cathedral whose design influences were a combination of Norman-French, Byzantine and Arab styles; in other words, a combination of diverse, equally rich traditions that created something new and more majestic than the sum of their parts. Needless to say, it was an honor to represent that kind of cultural fusion on the red carpet. My one regret was not sneaking a photo of how incredible everyone looked at our table, if I may say so myself! I guess that image will just have to live on in my memory bank... along with many other great moments from a very special night. Thank you, D&G!
