@katiecouric : This is my amazing friend @pearceq who I met 10 years ago when I interviewed her at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia @childrensphila while she was undergoing treatment for Medulloblastoma brain cancer. Today she’s going to be a senior at @pepperdine majoring in public relations. This summer she is interning at @su2c Pearce is an inspiration to me. She has to deal with chronic pain and other issues associated with her treatment, but she is positive, determined and beautiful. ❤️ This is why being a co-founder of @su2c is one of my proudest accomplishments. We will never stop fighting for patients and the scientists who are working tirelessly every day to make every cancer patient a survivor.
