@katiecouric : One year ago I was in Charlottesville as part of my @natgeochannel series #Americainsideout. Little did we know this bucolic college town, home to my alma mater @uva would erupt in violence and hate, leaving a young woman dead and an entire community in shock. Here is a clip from the night before, when we were the only cameras inside an interfaith service. Those who gathered pledged to stand up to the white supremacists descending on their town when a frightening torch rally gave a preview of what would unfold the next day.
