@katiecouric : Senator John McCain is someone I deeply admired. He was man of courage, honor, integrity and character. He also had a terrific sense of humor! But most of all, he epitomized something that seems to be in short supply today, not just in politics. That is decency. When a woman during the 2008 campaign complained that then Senator Barrack Obama was an “Arab” (and she didn’t trust him as one of my followers pointed out...) he gently but quickly corrected her. “No ma’am, no ma’am,” he told her. “He’s a decent family man and citizen who I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues. And that is what this campaign is all about.” He could have riled up the crowd by taking a different tack but instead he was a leader. Thank you for your service Senator. You will always be a true American hero.
