@katiecouric : Ten years ago the miracle on the Hudson took place as Sully Sullenberger’s incredible grace under pressure landed his disabled US Airways jet safely, saving the lives of all 155 people on board.  I had the privilege of interviewing him about the incident and he told me he could tell that Canada geese had flown into the engines by the “burnt bird smell.” He then described what happened next. (swipe ⬅️ for the second part of his answer!) Sully, meeting and getting to know you has been such an honor. Those passengers and the entire country continue to be in your debt.
