@katiecouric : Some of the victims of the #christchurch shooting via @khaledbeydoun 💔 ▪️Karam Bibi, 63 was killed with her husband Ghulam and son Zeeshan. She was visiting her son from Pakistan and was one of many Pakistanis killed in #christchurch. ▪️Kamel Darwish, 38 was a Palestinian man who only moved to New Zealand 6 months ago. His wife and three children waited for him in Jordan, until he secured work and a home. He was getting ready to send for them. ▪️Hussein Moustafa, 70 of Egypt. His daughter in law said, “Nobody ever saw him in a bad mood.” He was always in good spirits. Hussein loved the mosque, and could always be seen cleaning it, and took great pride in how it looked. He loved New Zealand and his community. ▪️Linda Armstrong was born in New Zealand and converted to Islam - embracing the faith and the community. She was a warm soul, and adopted a boy from Bangladesh. She had grandchildren and fought Islamophobia in #Christchurch. ▪️Sohail Shahid loved his wife and kids more than anything. His wife called him “my best friend.” The native of Pakistan worked hard to become a successful engineer. He was smart, driven, and most importantly, a family man. ▪️Atta Ellayan. A Palastinian man who lived in New Zealand with his wife Farah and their baby daughter. He would rush home every day after work to be with his daughter. ▪️Hussein El-Umari, 37, fled war-torn Iraq for New Zealand. He came with his parents, and helped take care of them as they aged. He had a contagious personality and was always at the #christchurch mosque on Friday. His elderly mother never thought she’d survive him. ▪️Mojammel Hoq, 30 was from Bangladesh and moved to #christchurch 3 years ago to work in healthcare. His dream was to move back to Bangladesh, open a dental clinic for the poor, and marry his fiancé. ▪️Arif couldn’t wait to visit his son Rameez in New Zealand. Arif and his wife left India as soon as they knew Rameez was having a baby girl. They prayed together on Friday, and minutes later let
