@clarencehouse : Today The Queen and The Prince of Wales attended the National Commemorative Event for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings at Southsea Common, Portsmouth. Her Majesty and His Royal Highness met D-Day veterans and Heads of State, Heads of Government and Representatives of Leaders of the Allied Nations. D-Day is considered one of the largest military operations in history. It included over 5,000 vessels and ships, nearly 11,000 planes and over 130,000 ground troops. Tomorrow The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will attend #DDay75 events in Normandy.
