@clarencehouse : The Royal College of Music had their annual awards ceremony today and The Prince of Wales, President of @rcmlondon, attended the ceremony and conferred the awards. 🎶 . Amongst today’s recipients were German tenor Jonas Kaufmann and Conductor and Musical Director of the @royaloperahouse, Sir Antonio Pappano, who were both awarded with honorary doctorates of Music. The RCM was founded in London in 1882, and provides specialised musical education and professional training for performers, conductors and composers. 🎼 The annual awards ceremony recognises individuals whose contribution to music, music education and the RCM is regarded as outstanding. The College’s Patron is currently Her Majesty The Queen and The Prince has been President since 1993. . 📸 Press Association
