People often ask me to recommend acting books or courses and I can honestly say that what has had the greatest impact on me as an actor and as a human is learning to meditate. Learning to listen more closely to God and my soul. Being willing to learn why I do the things I do, and being enthusiastic about doing the work to shift my actions to be more closely aligned with the person I choose to be. Through doing that work, I’ve opened up parts of my soul that I’m no longer afraid to reveal on camera, and have a greater understanding about what makes human beings tick, all of which I get to bring to my characters onscreen. It can still be a struggle, but it’s a worthy one and a practice that I’m committed to, because I know it’s a positive path and that it works. ❤️❤️❤️
