@abbiecornish : “At thirty, I went through a really big shift in my life, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Physically, my body was talking to me and I needed to listen. I was feeling lethargic and out of sorts, experiencing symptoms on and off such as tinnitus (ringing in the inner ear), headaches, immune system imbalances, anxiety, insomnia, irregular cycles, energy fluctuations, and mood swings. I sought advice and opinions from different doctors and practitioners (mainstream, integrative, and natural), and concluded that it was my diet that needed to change. I cleansed, started acupuncture, healing and bodywork, and spent two months with a nutritionist in Los Angeles learning about food and how to eat for my body and blood type. My nutritionist suggested I introduce meat back into my diet, and cut out processed sugars, dairy, and gluten as much as possible. The change wasn’t easy, and came with a roller coaster of thoughts and emotions. But as I continued to educated myself, and eat with awareness, I became more comfortable.
