@sophiabush : My #wcw goes out to my angel sister @ruthielindsey. • We were walking along a mountainside in Colorado, holding hands, and Ruthie was being her literal-human-sunshine self and marveling at the beauty around us, so moved that she was nearly in tears. Up ahead, I saw a tree that had split in two near the trunk, and said “aw sister it’s us!” I called back to our pal Brady, “B will you take our picture in front of the twin tree?!” Ru got so excited that she THREW her backpack off, and I saw it sail through the air behind us. I watched it hit Brady SMACK in the nerdles, and he dropped to the ground so fast that I screamed. Ru swung around to see what had made me scream, and because she’s built like a tall slender statuesque giraffe, one of her long ballerina arms came flying and she punched me square in the mouth. We both fell to the ground. • She took out two of her bests in 2.2 seconds flat, and despite the blood all over my face from where my lip exploded, I could not stop laughing. It was the most comedic moment I’ve experienced in a very long time. I am so damn grateful for my framily. For the hi-jinx and the shenanigans. For the deep love. For the care. Poor sister cried when she saw my face. Once she knew I wasn’t lying, and I was actually okay, we rolled in the dirt in a giggle fit. And sweet Brady managed to capture the aftermath while he was doubled over in man-pain. We still got our cheesy photo, and I’ve got the bruise to prove it. • Ruthie, sissy, I love you so much it hurts. Literally sometimes 🤣😘♥️ PS.
