Everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination.” The human beings legally seeking asylum at our border are human beings. Their bones break the same way our children’s bones break. Their blood bleeds red the way ours does. Their eyes cry salty tears like ours. Every single human being deserves respect, dignity, compassion, empathy, and safety. It is very dangerous when we live in a headspace and heart-space that does not acknowledge these divine truths. I love you. I love them. Let us all love our neighbors.
