@menasuvari : I am beyond proud to stand behind this initiative. It is critical. We cannot be blind anymore to the fact that the meal options within our school system are poor. Everyone deserves to feel and be healthy. I grew up with the simple concept that “you are what you eat”; our wellness begins within. AB 479 - The Plant Based School Lunch Option (Healthy Climate-Friendly School Lunch Act) sponsored by Adrin Nazarian provides a choice for children, increasing access to healthy foods, limiting greenhouse gas emissions, focusing on animal welfare as well as the environment. The bill is cosponsored by Animal Hope in Legislation, Friends of the Earth, Social Compassion in Legislation, and Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. .
