@lavernecox : I just teared up a bit looking at this beautiful @variety cover. To have been a part of something so powerful, that is Orange is the New Black, something that changed the culture,, has been the greatest gift of my life so far. These three women on this cover, Cindy Holland, @uzoaduba and @ijnej, all brilliant visionaries centered womanhood on the small screen in unprecedented ways, I am in utter awe you. You represent the @oitnb and @netflix family for me in the purist of ways. Back in 2012 we were all on set in Queens, NY together for the first time just so excited to fulfill the vibrant, singular vision of Jenji Kohan, based on @piperkerman's brilliant book. Oh those luscious words on those exquisite pages! I remember it felt like nothing I had ever seen before on television. I wasn't sure if the public would go for it but I knew it was brilliant and special and that's all that mattered to me at the time being a part of something so special. The final season of #oitnb premieres in one week on July 26. #OrangeForever
