@mattmcgorry : Repost of a repost! Been feeling this one a lot recently. Been taking some big risks, which is scary. But also powerful in terms of the change that it can create and how it can transform our lives. Got this from @sonyareneetaylor ‘s IG...follow her for some daily wisdom! And her book “The Body Is Not An Apology” is out now as well! 😊😊😊 # Repost from @sonyareneetaylor using - #Repost @consciouslens ・・・ Let's talk about fear... You don't have to agree with the following facts but nonetheless they are true. Everyone gets afraid. Everyone experiences fear. Fearless is an interesting concept but the brain tells us that everyone experiences fear. Whether we experience fear isn't in question, the question is, what is our response to fear? What do we do when we feel the sensations that we call fear? sweating trembling hot flushes or chills shortness of breath or difficulty breathing a choking sensation rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) pain or tightness in the chest a sensation of butterflies in the stomach nausea headaches and dizziness feeling faint numbness or pins and needles dry mouth a need to go to the toilet ringing in your ears confusion or disorientation It is essential to recognize that fear is healthy, a natural part of the human design. In many cases it is fear that prevents us from taking risks that would harm ourselves or others. Some fears are Illusions and others we learn from traumatic experiences, or what we were taught to be afraid of. Back to our response to fear... How do you respond to fear? How many times have you allowed fear to stop you? How many times has fear caused you to quit, run or be unwilling to risk? What type of relationship would you like with fear? If none is the answer...go back to the beginning, we all experience fear. What will your relationship with fear be? How will you cultivate it? Can you live, thrive and be successful through your fears? Let me change that. Will you? #fear #fearless #doitanyway “
