@mattmcgorry : Last 50/50 day I had the honor of having a scintillating dialogue with the great Kimberlé Crenshaw. Kimberlé is the person introduced the term “intersectional" to feminism theory which has had a huge influence on my life/activism and also changed how we view oppression and social injustice around the world. . 50/50 Day is an annual global conversation on gender equity which had over 35000 events happening in over 60 countries with thousands of people across the world from India to Nigeria and beyond. The goal is #GettingTo5050, an equal and gender-balanced society that is beneficial for everyone. My commitment is to continue to work daily to interrupt patriarchy and sexism wherever and however I can, knowing that I have, and I will make mistakes but that’s no excuse to do nothing (and noting that perfectionism is a behavior of white supremacist culture). .
