@vanderjames : Proud to be a part of this. @childmindinstitute asked us what we’d say to #MyYoungerSelf about mental health or learning disorders. As a dyslexic who makes a living off words (and lots of big ones back in the day 😉), I often find myself calming down parents of kids who are diagnosed... but this is really a message to any kid with a learning disorder: Consider it parkour for your brain. This is not in any way to make light of the challenges, which at times can be maddening on so many levels... but you’re going to come out of it with some sick mental tricks that I promise you will serve you in other ways. #dyslexia #dyslexiapower
