Since 2012, The United Nations marked October 11th as the International Day of the Girl to highlight the challenges girls face while advocating for their empowerment. There are approximately 600 million adolescent girls in the world, and 90% of them live in developing countries where they will work in poor conditions with little to no pay within the next decade. This year’s theme is “With Her: A Skilled GirlForce,” and focuses on expanding educational opportunities to prepare these girls to enter the workforce. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Shout out for the Girls around the World! 🌎🌍🌏
