The 2018 #midterms showed a record breaking number of women running for and getting elected to public office - 273 women representing both parties were on the ballot in the 2018 midterm elections. More women will be serving in Congress than ever before, and we are seeing many firsts; first female governors, first LGBTQ representatives, first African American, Native American, Muslim and Latina representatives - the list goes on and on! While there is still a ways to go, I wanted to celebrate all the women who made history last night - I’m feeling very proud & inspired! 💪🏼💥 #women #womenempowerment #elections #congress
