@clarencehouse : The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall tonight attended an event to mark the centenary of Australia House. The Prince of Wales’s Great-Grandfather King George V laid the building’s first foundation stone in 1913 but it was not until 1918 that the building officially opened. Tonight TRH signed the same visitors’ book that was signed by George V 100 years ago. Australia House, located on the Strand in London, provides a home for diplomatic, defence and trade workers.
