@minkakelly : A very inspiring brunch this morning with @emilys_list talking all things supporting women in politics. Most inspiring was hearing Cook County State’s Attorney #KimFoxx, who is the first African American woman to lead Cook County, which is the nation’s second largest prosecutor’s office, talking about rape and sexual assault being the most underreported crime there is said; ”I was broken. I own that. It makes me better at my job” when talking about the importance of nuance and critical thinking when prosecuting. She also said “enlarge your table, you don’t know everything” and I couldn’t love or appreciate her more. Cook County is very lucky to have her. More Kim Foxx’s please! #ElectWomen
