@tonyhawk : My mom taught me to believe in myself, and the value of perseverance. She was a teacher for most of her adult life and then decided to get her doctorate in education at age 60. Now she has Alzheimer's & dementia and rarely recognizes me when I visit; it's crushing. Hug your mom if you can or call her today because she could be gone (mentally or physically) before you know it. And sincere thanks to all the badass moms like @catherine_o that keep our kids on the right track in these confusing times.
