@4everbrandy : Although an official announcement was made for the cancellation of the Kennedy Center shows, I wanted to give a detailed explanation after seeing an otolaryngologist today. Most of the time when I'm not feeling welI, I'll ignore signs to avoid claiming the illness. Today, Dr. Thomas Winkler, in DC, did an extensive examination on my ears, nose and throat. His findings were sinusitis, acute laryngitis, hemorrhagic right true vocal and bilateral severe vocal cord edema. Additionally, I’ve been experiencing hemorrhaging on my left eardrum. I have been advised by Dr. Winkler to stay on strict vocal rest for a week and during this time to cancel any professional performances. I am extremely grateful that the Kennedy Center personnel was understanding. I apologize to my fans and friends, and members of the Kennedy Center for this inconvenience. I have been rehearsing since last year and I am disappointed that I was unable to perform. I'm going to follow the doctor's advice and in a week, I'll come back 100%.
