@lisa_wilkinson : So I may have opened up a little to @angelamollard in @stellarmag today about making the move from breakfast TV and the toll those hours can take on your family... “It was about six months after I made the move, and Pete, the kids and I were sitting around having a barbecue that ended up going well into the night. At about 11 o’clock we were all still chatting when Jake, our eldest, turned to me and said, ‘Mum, it’s so great that you can do this now - stay up late with us and not be frantically watching the clock so you can go to bed. I feel like we’ve finally got you back.’” At that moment I was suddenly reminded of the price your kids can pay when your job is all consuming. That’s when I really knew that all that fuss, all that disruption, had all been worth it.
