This is one of my favorite teen films of the 90s & it has endured all these years later because of its sharp writing, talented cast & a sense of heart at its core. Still holds up today as a party I still wish I could attend. Are you a fan of Can't Hardly Wait? Sound off! In the meantime, here are some fun facts about the film: . . 1. Filming the final scenes of the party meant a chaotic destruction of the house. Directors Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont gave the go-ahead to completely trash the place. This involved the cast and crew pulling out drawers, dropping food all over the floor, messing up the carpets, and someone spray painting "This Party Sucked" on the front door. This all happened in one hour. . . 2. This was Charlie Korsmo's first (and last) on-screen appearance since Hook in 1991. He was attending MIT when he was offered the role. . . 3. Four cast members appear in Six Feet Under. They include Lauren Ambrose, Peter Facinelli, Freddy Rodriguez, and Eric Balfour. . . 4. Jennifer Love Hewitt gave Ethan Embry a teddy bear full of breath mints for their climactic kissing scene. He says everyone on set knew he spent most of his time smoking pot in his trailer and she wasn't too keen on kissing Embry, who described himself as "a skunk-scented chimney". He said he gladly used the breath mints as they alleviated his cottonmouth. . . 5. Ethan Embry claims to barely remember filming this movie because he was so stoned the whole time. . . 6. Adam Hann-Byrd was originally cast as William, but after a couple of days of filming was let go and replaced with Charlie Korsmo. One shot of him is left in the film, but he
