@katiecouric : It was really moving to speak with #JaneKrakowski yesterday (I ❤️her) as she shared the heartache and anguish of seeing her dad struggle with dementia. She opened up about the difficulties of watching someone you love slowly disappear. There are nearly 10 million new cases of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease diagnosed each year but there are limited tools available to diagnose and treat the symptoms. Now, #AARP has announced their commitment to #DisruptDementia with a $60 million investment in #TheDDFund to support urgently needed research into dementia prevention and treatment. AARP is also working to help caregivers who experience stress, exhaustion and emotional strain caring for their loved ones and they have a helpful section on their site.
