@katiecouric : My home state of Virginia has the chance to put the ERA over the finish line as the 38th (and final) state needed to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. A little refresher: The Equal Rights Amendment is a proposed amendment to the US Constitution stating that civil rights may not be denied on the basis of one’s sex. If ratified, it could impact everything from Title IX to equal pay. It passed the House and Senate on 1972 but never got enough state legislatures to pass it as required. (You can read the whole history of the ERA including reasons why some have opposed it if you Wikipedia it!) Meanwhile, I love this video that @lilibernard6 and her daughter Zion made! Thanks for saying I was a good thing to come out of Virginia.
