Wilbur Ross suggested they get a loan to cover it.⠀ When asked about reports that federal workers are going to homeless shelters to get food amid the shutdown, Ross, who has a net worth of 2.5 billion, said he doesn't "quite understand why" because their backpay is "in effect, federally guaranteed" and they should "be able to get a loan against it."
