@busyphilipps : My favorite thing @megryan said in our conversation was "The most expensive thing today is mystery." I had a real Oprah moment and I made her repeat it. Because the truth is, as artists but also just as humans living in this world at this moment, mystery is a choice and maybe even a luxury. What you choose to share, how you choose to share it, and whether it means anything to anyone anyway are fundamental questions that only you can answer for yourself. But also what struck me is what we collectively feel OWED, by the people who entertain us, to LET US IN and TELL US EVERYTHING. Whatever-- I've had wine and I'm on a plane. The point is, Meg Ryan is a true class act and an incredible artist and a woman who has brought so much joy into the world for so many years and I was honored to sit and talk with her for an hour. And also. I love that quote. ❤️
