@clarencehouse : The Prince of Wales, Colonel of the @WelshGuards, today presented campaign medals to the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards following their return from Afghanistan. HRH presented members of The Prince of Wales’ company with the Operational Service Medal. The Prince has been Colonel of the Welsh Guards since 1975, and at the Trooping the Colour ceremony each year HRH wears the regiment's ceremonial uniform. The @WelshGuards were formed in 1915 by order of King George V and have taken part in almost every British Army campaign since WWI.
