@kristenanniebell : Today’s awesome featured teacher was nominated by her friend, Dawn! Here’s what Dawn sent me: “I’d like to nominate my friend and past co-worker, Ashley Green Woods. She teaches 9-12th grade Deaf and Hard of Hearing students Reading and English at Atascocita High School in Humble, TX. She also co-teaches Science and History classes since most Deaf and HH students struggle with English comprehension. Not only does Ashley teach but she’s also a mom to two beautiful girls, a step-mom, working on her PhD and has the most beautiful helping spirit. Did I mention Ashley is also deaf? She is amazing and helped me when my home flooded during Hurricane Harvey. Ashley does everything to ensure her students and past students succeed- this summer, Ashley even drove two of her former students 8 hours across Texas to start college!” How amazing is Ashley?
