I was on KTLA this morning talking about my 3rd Emmy nomination and trying to grapple with still being the only openly trans person nominated for an acting Emmy. Looking back always helps me. @halleberry is still the only black woman to win an Oscar for Best Actress in the entire history of the Academy Awards. I want to challenge artists, producers, network and studio executives to continue to ask ourselves how do we continue to create space for others to walk through the door once it had been opened?
