@rainnwilson : Just over five years ago, I received an illustrated portrait of Dwight from the talented young artist Jessi Zazu, frontwoman of the band Those Darlins. Since then, the picture's hung in my office. Unfortunately, on September 12, 2017 Zazu passed away of cervical cancer, at the age of 28. To continue her work, and further her legacy, Zazu's family founded Jessi Zazu, Inc., a non-profit promoting women's health, social justice, and arts and humanities. On February 6, the non-profit is hosting their second annual benefit show, featuring performances from artists such Thelma and the Sleaze, Becca Mancari, and Kyshona Armstrong. Along with the performances, the show will feature a silent auction with nearly $4,000 worth of donations from the likes of Miranda Lambert, Hatch Show Print, and me! To contribute to the cause, I'm donating 50 signed prints of Zazu's piece. I'm happy to support this wonderful non-profit. "Ain't Afraid: A Benefit For Jessi Zazu, Inc." begins at 7pm at Basement East in Nashville, Tennessee on February 6. Tickets are $12.
