@drewbarrymore : #accountsilove. OK Instagram is a wild world. It’s a place that was a place to scrapbook your life for friends and loved ones. Then it became an exhibitionist paradise. And now it’s a business. A place to promote and display your life and what you sell. In this web of many intentions, I personally try to straddle the line of professional, by showing what I am working on or want to bring into the world. And personal, by sharing my life and things I do and use, so that I remain a human being and not a manipulative machine to just try to hawk my latest project. I think about what I post. I curate. I know what is to close to my heart and home or when I feel too exposed. I also know that I am involved in many passions and what a better place to display and share that than on the “sharing platform” of Instagram. I contemplate swan diving off all social media from time to time. I take breaks. And then something will pull me back because I genuinely want to pass it along. And THIS IS WHAT I THINK INSTAGRAM IS. A place to get INFORMATION AND INSPIRATION. So. I am showing #myfavoriteaccounts all week. 5 a day for five days. And this is what I troll. Things that make me think or things that make my pupils dilate or people who are doing things that make me want to keep going too. I hope you like. No worries if you don’t.
