@uzoaduba : #tbt story: When I was a kid, I used to figure skate. I had a skating competition in Buffalo, NY one year, and my mom decided to turn the weekend into a mother/daughters trip for my sister @ohheyitschioma and I. She’d heard Niagara Falls was up there, and she wanted to take her kids to see it. I think she wanted to see it, too. When we got there, we could see water. We watched the water foam and swirl, watched it collect and tip over the edge, but we couldn’t watch the wonder that had brought us. In order to see the great Falls themselves, we learned, you had to be standing on the Canada side! Oops. We had no idea. And we didn’t have our passports with us to cross over the border. I think some folks might have left shortly after that type of news, but we stayed. We stood there, watching and imagining just what exactly might lay on the other side. We had no idea. We stayed, appreciating the beauty that we had on this side...our time together. We took this pic that day. The sun was bright and in our eyes, but I remember being really happy that day and glad for the time together :-). #family #familyvacation
