And back in the day, instead of getting baby shower gifts when Hendrix was born my family and friends all bought things and we donated them to St Kilda mums. What they do is extraordinary and to think there are people out there in desperate need of basic things for their babies is heart breaking. Please read this and help anyway you can ** Please donate and repost ** We've just been asked to help a pregnant mum in desperate need. She's being induced next week. She's living on her own in a cramped room with shared kitchen and bathroom, sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Last week, her room flooded & she’s been trying to dry her mattress outside in the sun. She's had a terrible time - the relatives she was living with said she needed to move out because they didn't want a baby around. The other tenants in her building are strangers to her, and yet, she faces the prospect of washing her new baby in a bathroom she shares with them. Her social worker is working hard to help her find new accommodation. In the meantime, she desperately needs help to provide for her baby.
